Baked Goods

The Kitchen at Billings Forge Located right onsite within the Billings Forge complex, The Kitchen provides a broad variety of freshly baked artisanal breads. Fresh bread is terrific to bring home to your family… if you can resist temptation and make it past the market gate! The Kitchen also uses local ingredients to create a delicious array of sandwiches, salads, and prepared dinners available "to go." Stop by The Kitchen the rest of the week too!

Hartford Baking Co. works with local farms and local farms aims to source as many of their ingredients from the surrounding area.  Every morning, their bakers and pastry chefs mix and bake everything from scratch to make sure you’re getting the freshest product possible.

Dairy

Sweet Pea Cheese Sweet Pea Cheese, made by the Hayes Dairy in North Granby, joins us each week and brings soft goat's cheese, feta, pasteurized cow's milk, and yogurt.

Farmers

Beckett Farm, originally the Old Cider Mill in South Glastonbury, provides a wide variety of fruits and vegetables and of course their specialty....asparagus! They also have a CSA program that offers full, half and late spring shares.

Chaplin Farms Located on Route 6 in Chaplin, this farm and orchard boasts over 15 varieties of apples. Additionally, Chaplin Farms typically brings a broad selection of lettuce bowls, herb planter boxes, hand picked lettuce, a variety of fruits and vegetables, eggs, and local honey.

Eagle Wood Farms Using sustainable methods, Eagle Wood Farms grows and processes beef, pork, salmon, and shrimp, from Barkhamstead. All of the beef and pork is raised locally, and the shrimp and salmon come from fishermen with whom Eagle Wood Farms has a direct relationship. Their commitment to pure, sustainable food is evidenced by the outstanding quality of their products.

Gresczyk Farms grows a variety of vegetables on 85 acres in New Hartford, CT and has over 600 chickens for egg laying. They also have 30,000 square feet of greenhouse space for flower and hydroponic vegetables. Growing as sustainably as possible in the production of our various agricultural products, they practice Integrated Pest Management in every way they can.

Rose's Berry Farm offers a selection of seasonal produce, as well as pies, flowers, jams, salsas, dressings, and more. Located in South Glastonbury, the farm also has pick-your-own fruit and a delicious Sunday Brunch.

Spielman Landscaping Spielman brings beautiful annual and perennial flowering plants along with a large selection of cactus gardens and topiaries. They are always happy to answer your garden and landscape design questions as well.

Specialty Items

Agave Grille is serving up tasty burritos, tacos and bebidas from their Taqueria cart! Taquería is a Spanish word meaning taco shop. Many had their beginnings as street vendors. Agave's going back to its roots, bringing the food and spirit of the restaurant right to you!

Bean and Leaf roasts organic and Fair Trade coffees in New London and is also a purveyor of fine loose-leaf teas. In addition, Bean and Leaf has freshly brewed coffee (available hot or iced!) at Thursday markets.

Chet's Italian Ice From New Britain comes authentic, hand-scooped, Connecticut made Italian ices (which are cholesterol and fat free!). Chet's is made fresh in small batches using local organic produce.

CT Cultural Heritage Arts Program As a longstanding program of the Institute for Community Research, the Connecticut Cultural Heritage Arts Program (CHAP) serves as the state’s official traditional arts initiative. At our Farmers' Market, CHAP brings wonderfully talented, one-of-a-kind weavers and basket makers from around the world, including women from Somalia and Bosnia.

Daily Rider Frog Hollow native Chris Brown brings Yuba Mundo cargo bikes, Melon folding bicycles for daily riders on the go, and nutcase helmets for adults and young riders, along with other new stock weekly. Chris repairs and or builds custom bikes, and can also answer your cycling questions.

gmonkey™ features fresh "FARM 2 STREET" food, brought locally to hungry bellies throughout the region, through a seasonally-inspired menu sourced heavily from local farms and food producers.  Menu ingredients are natural, organic, and fair-trade, whenever possible. The menu has a strong focus on vegetarian, but also include a wide variety of vegan and gluten-free cuisine, although the fresh-food-focused menu is sure to appeal to a wide variety of palates.

Stonewall Apiary specializes in unfiltered fall wildflower honey, creamed honey, and delicious honey butter! If you’ve never tried any of these items stop by for a free sample of any of them. They also have pure beeswax candles: they’re all natural, long-lasting, and add a touch of elegance to your home or table. And if you’re looking for a small gift, a candle is an excellent choice, as is their Beeswax Wood Polish. Finally, they have honey soap made with our honey by Natures Edge Bathworks.
